Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant is facing more legal trouble after being accused of assaulting a teenager in 2022. The teenager, named Joshua Holloway, filed a lawsuit against Morant and his friend Davonte Pack, accusing them of punching, kicking and threatening him while playing basketball.

Holloway claims Morant punched him several times, while Pack punched him four or five more times. He also claimed that Morant was seen coming out of his house with a gun in his hand.

Morant denies the allegations, claiming he acted in self-defense. His attorney is currently trying to have the case dismissed. If the case goes to trial, Morant could face misdemeanor assault charges.

This isn't the first time Morant has gotten into legal trouble; in 2022, he was suspended for eight games by the NBA after posting a video on social media that showed him brandishing a weapon. He was later suspended for 17 games for violating the league's anti-violence policy.

Morant's legal troubles are a distraction for the Grizzlies, who are currently fighting for a playoff spot. The team needs Morant to get back on the court and start playing his best so they can move forward in the playoffs.

Only time will tell how things will play out. However, one thing is for sure: If Morant wants to fulfill his potential and become a true superstar in the NBA, he will have to get his legal issues under control.
