University of Houston Defense Pulls Off Another Big Win Over Rice

The University of Houston Cougars continued their impressive season with a resounding 75-39 victory over the Rice Owls on Wednesday night. The University of Houston defense was once again the talk of the town, limiting Rice to season-low scoring and hitting percentages. The Cougars also forced 21 turnovers and converted the miscues into 26 points.

Cal guards L.J. Cryer and Emanuel Sharp led the Cougar offense with 15 and 12 points, respectively. Cryer continued his hot streak, hitting five 3-pointers for the third straight game. The Baylor transfer is averaging 20.6 points per game during that stretch.
